Two years ago, around this time, I was in Chicago with Big Rob. Southside Chicago to be exact. Days were spent at the Hip Hop Political Convention. Nights were spent observing round after round of intense spades (the card game, not the gang) action between Rob and his friends.

In between the Convention and spades, I squeezed some time in to go record shopping. At one store, while gettin my fingers dusty and knees sore (you gotta look at the unorganized record bins BELOW all the other records to find the gems) this song suddenly came on over the store PA. Everyone stopped what they were doing to listen. No lie.
