In the order of places that I call home, Seattle is third, trailing behind Oakland and Los Angeles, and leading New York and Houston. Actually, anywhere with a Chinatown is home to me. If I can order dim sum, eat pho ga, choose against durian ice cream, smell stinky tofu, select from a rack of grease drippin roasted ducks, drink a lychee shake, and preview the latest Jay Chou cd all in the span of one block, then that block is home.
But I digress, this isn’t about me. It’s about me and Bambu and Nam and Khingz and D.Black having a beautiful night celebrating the release of Bam’s new album Exact Change at the Seattle leg of the Exact Change Tour. It’s at The Vera Project , which means it’s all ages, which means all you youth organizers need to bring the Northwest youth out in full to witness this good music!
